In view of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) festival scheduled on May 28, 2026, the Delhi Police under the leadership of Kushal Pal Singh organized a high-level coordination meeting at the DCP Office Conference Room on May 25 to ensure peaceful celebrations and maintain law and order across the district.
The meeting was chaired by DCP Dwarka Kushal Pal Singh along with Additional DCP-I Niharika Bhatt and Addl. DCP-II Saurabh Chandra.
More than 150 mosque Imams and prominent community representatives from different areas of Dwarka District attended the meeting. All Sub-Division ACPs and Station House Officers (SHOs) of the district also remained present during the interaction.
During the meeting, senior police officers discussed crucial arrangements related to crowd management, public safety, traffic regulation, and smooth conduct of religious activities during the Bakrid festival. The officers emphasized the importance of communal harmony and urged all stakeholders to work together for maintaining peace in the district.
DCP Dwarka appealed to members of the Muslim community to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha peacefully while maintaining brotherhood and social harmony. He further requested citizens to cooperate with police authorities, strictly follow lawful guidelines, and refrain from spreading rumours or misinformation on social media or through any other platform.
The community representatives and mosque Imams assured full cooperation to the police administration in maintaining law and order during the festival celebrations.
Senior officers also directed all ACPs and SHOs to maintain strong vigil in their respective jurisdictions, ensure regular patrolling, and remain in close coordination with local community members to prevent any untoward incident during the festive period.
Dwarka District Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful environment for all residents during Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
