The initiative is aimed at enhancing road safety education and building a stronger culture of responsible road behaviour among citizens, especially school children, young drivers, and daily commuters.

MoU Signed at Delhi Police Headquarters

The MoU signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Commissioner of Police, Delhi, Shri Satish Golchha, and Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Shri Neeraj Thakur, who described the collaboration as an important example of how public institutions and the corporate sector can work together for public welfare.

The agreement was formally signed by:

  • Shri Satya Vir Katara, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic (HQ), on behalf of Delhi Traffic Police

  • Mr. Devashish Handa, Executive Officer (HR & Business Development), on behalf of Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd.

Senior officers of Delhi Traffic Police, representatives of Suzuki Motorcycle India, and officials from Value Life Foundation, the designated implementation partner, were also present at the event.

Focus on Upgrading Traffic Training Park

Under this partnership, the primary focus will be on the upgradation, maintenance, and effective functioning of the Traffic Training Park at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, New Delhi.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. will provide financial and technical support to strengthen road safety infrastructure and educational activities at the park.

The proposed improvements include:

  • Modernisation of training infrastructure

  • Installation of advanced road safety learning tools

  • Development of interactive and practical training modules

  • Better signage and awareness material

  • Support for regular road safety education programmes

These programmes will be conducted for school children as well as the general public, with a focus on traffic discipline, defensive driving, and responsible road usage.

Role of Value Life Foundation

Value Life Foundation will serve as the implementation partner for the project. The foundation will handle manpower deployment and day-to-day operations of the Traffic Training Park, ensuring smooth conduct of training sessions and awareness programmes.

Vision for Safer Roads in Delhi

During the interaction, officials from both sides exchanged ideas on innovative road safety education methods and community engagement strategies.

Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner of Police, Delhi, emphasised the long-term vision behind the collaboration. He expressed hope that the Traffic Training Park would develop into a model road safety learning centre, capable of being replicated in other cities across India.

“Our objective is to build a strong culture of road safety. By combining the expertise and resources of Delhi Traffic Police and Suzuki Motorcycle India, we are working towards a safer future for every road user in Delhi,” he said.

Towards Interactive Road Safety Learning

The collaboration seeks to transform traditional traffic training parks into interactive learning hubs, using modern technology, real-life demonstrations, and expert guidance. The initiative is expected to play a crucial role in sensitising citizens about traffic rules, safe driving practices, and the importance of responsible behaviour on roads.
